Financial Literacy

The Financial Literacy toolkit introduces children and young people in vulnerable situations to the basics of financial literacy. Built around five key pillars — earn, spend, save, invest and protect — it combines educational posters, games and online learning to help young people make more informed financial decisions and develop early entrepreneurial skills.

More about the toolkit

Building financial awareness from an early age
Financial literacy is a key part of helping children and young people build independence, confidence and decision-making skills. For those growing up in vulnerable contexts, understanding how money works can open the door to greater stability and opportunity.

At the same time, many youth professionals feel they lack simple and accessible ways to introduce these topics. The Financial Literacy toolkit was developed to bridge this gap.

Built around five core pillars of financial literacy the toolkit offers a clear and practical framework while also introducing key entrepreneurial skills such as creativity, problem-solving and initiative.
These skills help children and youth professionals turn ideas into action and apply what they learn in daily life or in their own initiatives.

Through interactive activities, visual materials and guided learning, the toolkit helps young people explore financial concepts in a way that is engaging, relatable and age-appropriate.
